Bag Designer
You are a creative and enthusiastic person who can develop and design stylish yet functional bag. Here, you'll work together with design team, sample makers, and other departments to create high quality carry goods for our customer.
What You’ll Do
- Translating a design concept into a physical prototype through sketches in 2D or 3D design
- Designing seasonal, series and regular products based on market research, trend analysis and brand guidelines
- Developing new materials, accessories, and treatment for bags
- Ensure accurate representation of design intent and make necessary adjustments for fit, aesthetics and performance.
- Thoroughly test and evaluate prototypes and samples to ensure design specifications, performance standards and quality requirements as required
- Provide clear and constructive feedback to the sample development teams in order to achieve continuous improvement and design excellence
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in product design or related field
- At least 2 years of experience in bag design, particularly in women's casual bags
- A strong portfolio showing a range of designs demonstrating creativity, technical expertise and an understanding of performance requirements
- Proficiency with hand sketching and design software such as Adobe Creative Suites and 3D modeling (is a plus point)
- Understanding and passionate in the fashion industry
- Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, design principles, colors, shapes and composition
- Stay up to date the latest advancements in material, technologies and manufacturing process that enhance performance, durability and comfort
- Eagerness to learn and have a sense of discovery to collaborate with designers, vendors and suppliers to inform progress at every stage of the design and development process
